BaltimoreRiots: Freddie Gray Death Ruled Homicide | Officers Charged

The African-American community and all who have been following the the dreadful story of Freddie Gray‘s death are currently rejoicing, as his death has been ruled a homicide.

You will recall that Gray, a 25-year-old African American man, died in police custody, as he suffered a severe spinal cord injury, his voice box was crushed, and his neck snapped. He eventually went into a coma, and died days later.

Washington Post reports that Baltimore state’s attorney Marilyn Mosby, announced the ruling on Friday.

The six police officers involved in Gray’s arrest and subsequent death have multiple charges leveled against them including second-degree murder, manslaughter and misconduct. CNN reports that if found guilty, each of the officers could face more than 10 years in prison.
